Real Estate Team Leaders Must Stop Multi-Tasking

Multitasking is a huge myth. it is physically impossible to do two things at once. The point is that it is switch tasking and we, as real estate leaders need to stop multitasking.

Even when we are on our phones we are switch tasking from texting to social to email, etc. Everything around us is set up to fail us in the area of multitasking. 

As a real estate team leader, I want you to sit down with your team and time saying A-Z and 1-26 and write it down. Then you are going to switch tasks and record the time it takes to say A1, B2, C3, D4 until you get to the end. To switch tasks between those things, I am 4X less productive than I am saying those letters and numbers separately. 

We need to manage our tasks throughout the day by disciplining ourselves to do one thing at a time. When you are in those time blocks, are you letting yourself get distracted? This myth of multitasking will kill your productivity and will ultimately kill your goals.
