The Good, Bad & Ugly: How to Build a Business Without Sacrificing Your Time and Freedom

Many rockstar agents and team leaders have a high income but no time for themselves and their family. Is there a way to increase your income without sacrificing your personal life? Why isn’t it a good idea to build a business that requires you to constantly be there? How can developing leaders who share the same vision be your ticket to freedom? In this episode, I talk about how to build a business that gets the best of both worlds.

The team leader is in charge of articulating the vision, reinforcing it, and protecting it every step of the way. -Lars Hedenborg

3 Things We Learned From This Episode

  • Don’t allow your team to gravitate around your expertise.
  • Nobody is born a rockstar— you must invest in your education.
  • An excellent client experience is the cheapest and strongest form of marketing.

As the market shifts, low-performing traditional teams will not survive. The teams who will thrive are those that have a more organized model to take care of every aspect of the business without making a compromise. In other words, the hiring process is more intentional. All agents are held accountable, all the numbers are tracked, and the client is put first. Businesses that have systems and tools that take some of the mundane tasks off their plate are more likely to focus on activities that bring revenue.
