The Power and Process of Business Planning

Maybe it's my corporate background that made me good at this - perhaps it's a natural ability, but I've always been able to see what I want and go get it. Planning your business is important if you're starting with the end in mind. Think about any big business - they aren't all centered on one person. Google, Apple, Amazon - some of the biggest companies in the world - are centered on systems and processes that enable them to communicate, handle issues, and get work done. If you wanted to grow your own business, why wouldn't you follow their example?  You should be able to design your business on paper, and then go out and do it.
