Episode 174
What I Learned from Alex Hormozi (Founder of Gym Launch)
Alex helps gym owners launch their businesses. He talked about the journey to 1 million, then 1-3 million, then 3-10 million - how can we consistently fulfill the promises we make to clients?
The 'Shift'At some point, like we covered in our last episode, as a team leader or business owner you have to make the shift from being a part of the day to day operations to, essentially, quality control. You have to make sure the team you build can deliver the best results to your clients. As most business owners know, the highly coveted and most effective method of marketing is word of mouth testimony. You could have a cool product – (like a folding smartphone, or sell the coolest VR headset) but if your customers don’t like it, they won’t tell anyone about it – or perhaps even tell people NOT to buy it. Word of mouth marketing is the best form of marketing.
The CycleTo achieve this, you have to have client feedback. Like a product, your services can be loved or hated by the customer – but unlike a product, your services are directly reflective of you as a company, or you as a team leader. If your company, your employees, your agents, can’t provide a service that’s worthy of praise, you must work on it until it’s something you can be proud of. This is the type of marketing that will carry your company forward after you get it off the ground.
When a new buyer enters the picture, how are you making sure that they are getting their money’s worth? Every penny of your commission check is earned by doing what you do best – supplying your services to them when they need to buy a home. Do something nice for them to show them you care – have a client care specialist call them, welcome them to the family, or send them a gift – after all, they are the reason you got a nice commission check.
