To Scale, You Must Simplify

We tend to overcomplicate things in the hope that most of our efforts are going to work, and we think that in order to be very successful in real estate we need to have complicated structures and systems in place. How does simplifying things actually help us scale our business? What areas should we be simplifying? Are we taking the right steps in our business so that we have a business in the future? In this episode I share how simplifying certain areas allows us to have a more successful, income-generating business that has longevity and value.

• We should simplify by focusing on one key metric of success. We must decide on the metric we’re going to track that will tell us that we are on track and doing great work.
• We need to surround ourselves with people who understand that in order to be successful we have to commit a daily cadence of productivity.
• Our business really comes down to our pipeline, and tracking that pipeline. We need to have a simple tracking system for our business so that we can look at our different conversion points and see what’s working and what isn’t.

We all want to scale our business, and we all want more time, more money and less stress. We need to take action on things that are going to get us to this point, and we need to realize that simplifying things can get us there. It’s difficult to stay relevant as a team leader with all the change that is going on in our industry at the moment, so we need to take the right steps to ensure we have a business in the future. We’ve got to simplify our business and make our systems do the heavy-lifting so that our people can elevate out of the grind tasks and deliver a service that is above and beyond what people can get elsewhere.
